Cuisine with Tene Shake offers viewers more than the
typical cooking show. Drawing from his vast experience and
history in the local seafood industry, Tene is able to
educate the public and foodies alike on what to look for
when buying seafood and the importance of using
sustainable seafood products. In addition, Tene lets
viewers in on where and how to buy the freshest
ingredients on the Monterey Peninsula and occasionally
takes his show out of the kitchen to explore the exquisite
seafood available in the Monterey Bay and surrounding
communities. Many

Coastal Cuisine with Tene
Shake is produced by award winning producer/director Phil
Dean. Dean holds a Bachelor's Degree in Film Production
from San Francisco State University and a Certificate in
Video Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
He has worked for clients such as Adobe Systems, The Gap,
Banana Republic, Bank of America, and Pfizer
Pharmaceuticals. Phil Dean Productions has been serving
the San Francisco Bay Area in the areas of television and
corporate video production for nearly a decade.
Phil Dean Productions was
recently recognized for Coastal Cuisine with Tene Shake
with a Bronze Telly at the 27th annual Telly Awards, as
well as at the 24th annual Telly Awards which honor
outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and
programs, as well as the finest video and film
productions, television commercials, video productions,
and films. In 2002, Dean was the recipient of the
prestigious Aegis Award, as well as the Communicator
